GIESLE Institute emerged from a deep, research-informed understanding of Zimbabwe and Africa’s leadership landscape. Our founding team identified several critical gaps:
1. A lack of structured, high-impact leadership development across public and private sectors.
2. Limited formal opportunities to learn and reflect on ethical and transformational leadership.
3. An imbalance between technical competence and the human-centred skills that drive real leadership.

4. A recycling of leadership roles without growing a new pool of value-driven successors.
5. A generational disconnect, with too few platforms to pass down hard-won wisdom and ethical experience

We created GIESLE Institute to meet this need: a pan-African platform for contextual, strategic, and values-based leadership development and mentorship.
